  • Dr Abigail Evans

    Dr Abigail Evans

    Senior Veterinary Surgeon

    Abi graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon from The University of Nottingham in 2015. Since graduation, Abi has worked in a range of practices, from working for a charity, practicing shelter medicine, to working within a multi-disciplinary, private, small animal hospital. Abi has refined her skills as a small animal clinician and has developed an interest in internal medicine and imaging; she is currently working towards a Certificate within this field.

    Senior Veterinary Surgeon

    DrMedVet BSc(hons) MRCVS

    Emma has been at Alsager Vet Centre since 2017, having worked in both mixed and small animal practices since graduating in 2010. Emma’s favourite part of the job is surgery, but she also has a keen interest in pain management of chronic conditions like osteoarthritis and is currently working towards the WSAVA pain management certificate. She freely admits to being a crazy cat lady, with a particular soft spot for geriatric moggies.

    Outside of work most of her time is taken up with her two boys, but she manages to squeeze in a good amount of knitting, crochet and sewing under the pretext of honing her surgical skills! Emma has a rescue cat, Jack, who she acquired in her first few months of being a vet, and a rescue dog Ruby who was also adopted through work.

  • Amy Dronfield - Alsager

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Amy graduated from the University of Bristol in 2021. She has a special passion for surgery, and thrives on the variety each day brings at the practice. Building strong relationships with clients and their pet is at the heart of her work.

    Outside the clinic, Amy is an outdoor enthusiast. Whether she’s hiking, wild swimming, or catching waves surfing, she loves spending time surrounded by nature.

  • Tara Lowe - Alsager

    Dr Tara Lowe

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Tara graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Liverpool University in the summer of 2021. Since then, she has worked in three different small animal practices, gaining more experience from each practice and a keen interest in medicine and surgery.  Taras’ experiences include working with many rescue charities and exotic cases along the way! She has had a keen interest in anything to do with animals since the age of 4 years old.

    Outside of work Tara enjoys spending time with her family, two horses, her Pug called Buddy, and her rescue French Bulldog called Zoe.

  • Leah Matthews - Alsager

    Leah Matthews

    Head Nurse

    Leah qualified as an RVN in 2013 from Bottle Green Training. She started her career working in a mixed animal practice and referral hospital in Staffordshire. After 9 years Leah went to work at Reaseheath University as a Practice Liaison Officer and taught student nurses in anatomy & physiology, exotics and OSCE practice. After missing seeing clients and their pets, Leah went back into nursing in a practice in Cheshire. Leah joined Alsager in 2021 as Head Nurse and particularly enjoys nurse consultations and looking after our close-knit team.

    In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

  • Louise Cadman - Alsager

    Louise Cadman

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Louise is one of our senior RVN’s and has been with us since 2022. She has been in vet nursing for the last 30 years and qualified in 2001. Lousie enjoys all areas of nursing, with her passion being surgery. She loves a small furry!

    At home, Lou lives with her husband and 2 sons. They have had a wide variety of pets over the years and have had up to 11 pets at one time! They now just have 2, an E.B Terrier called Mabel, and an Axolotl called Axel. In Lou’s spare time she loves being out with the dog and spending time with her friends and family.

    Abbie qualified as an RVN during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, showcasing her resilience and determination. Since then, she has become an integral part of our team, known for her no-nonsense approach and dedication to providing excellent care for her patients.

     

    At home, Abbie is cockerpoo mad and shares her life with three of these lovable dogs who keep her endlessly entertained. With her straightforward attitude and passion for helping animals, Abbie is a valued team member, always striving to make a difference for pets and their owners.

  • Rebecca Fletcher - Alsager

    Registered Veterinary Nurse

    Becki is an animal lover through and through, dedicated to going the extra mile for every patient. With over 12 years of experience in veterinary practices and qualifying as an RVN in 2020, she brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and care to our team.

    At home, Becki’s love for animals doesn’t stop – she has a bustling household with two playful Dachshunds, two adorable Guinea Pigs, and a young family keeping her on her toes. Becki’s commitment to her patients and her cheerful, approachable nature makes her an integral part of our practice.

    Lisa Regan

    Practice Manager

    Lisa joined Hampton in March 2021 after working in Veterinary practice for 15 years and as a practice manager and business advise for the veterinary industry over the last 5 years. She loves the variety of her role taking time to look after  the clients their pets and the practice staff. She additionally supports other practices and the head office team. She has 2 grown up children and spends her spare time at the gym or reading.

    Receptionist

    Competent Vet Dispenser and Bronze BVRA Customer Service Award

    Victoria has been a veterinary receptionist for over 30 years and is an extremely valued member of the team at Alsager. Her commitment and dedication to the job won her Petplan’s Receptionist of the Year Award in 2016 – something which the team are very proud of.

    At home, Victoria has a beautiful and loyal English Springer Spaniel called Fern and a funny Miniature Dachshund called Lois.

    Receptionist

    Ettie, a former dental nurse with over 20 years of experience. She works both front of house on reception and as an animal care assistant in the back, ensuring smooth operations and compassionate care for both clients and pets.

    Outside of work, Ettie enjoys long walks, gardening, and cooking. She’s known for bringing humour and vibrant energy to the team.

    Receptionist

    Competent Vet Dispenser and Bronze BVRA Customer Service Award

    Gemma joined the team as a veterinary receptionist in March 2020—right at the start of the first COVID lockdown! She couldn’t have picked a more challenging time to start, but her resilience and adaptability shone through. Coming from a background in retail, Gemma has excellent customer service skills, a sharp eye for stock control, and a natural ability to work as part of a team. We’re incredibly proud that Gemma has been awarded the Silver AVR Award, recognizing her dedication and hard work.

    A true animal lover, Gemma is kept on her toes by her cheeky cat, Lilly, and her young family, who keep life busy and full of laughter!

  • Lydia Branham - Alsager

    Lydia Branham

    Lydia graduated from Falmouth University in 2019. She has worked for the Willows since February 2023 and loves greeting our lovely clients with a smile. A sighthound enthusiast, Lydia is the proud owner of two delightful Whippets, Bagel and Crumpet.

    Lydia loves watching reality tv, going out for food, Christmas and cosying up with a good book.
